Google Launches a Video calling app called DUO

Google has announced the launch of a video calling app known as Duo at its annual software developer-focused conference,Google I/O which ends today.
Duo is a simple, fast one-to-one video calling app with some cool features.
Knock Knock is a feature which shows you a live video preview of the caller before you pick up.
Knock Knock invites you into the moment, making calls feel spontaneous and fun. Once a call is answered, Duo seamlessly transitions you right into the call.

The video calls are in crisp HD video (up to 720p) and audio, optimized to work well even on bad networks – if bandwidth is limited, it automatically adjusts quality so you’re still able to connect.
Also, calls are seamlessly transitioned between cellular and Wi-Fi, so you don’t need to worry about what network you’re on.
And the good part: Duo is built with privacy and security in mind – all calls are end-to-end encrypted.
Just like smart messaging app, Allo, Duo is based on your phone number, so you can easily communicate with anyone.
The app is for everyone, whether you’re on Android or iOS, a fast or slow connection, in New York or Lagos. It will be available this summer.
